As thermal baths
AURIA CAMPER PARK is located in a privileged location: it has direct access to the Paseo de las Ninfas, a walking or cycling route that borders the Miño River. On the other side of the river you can also take a Tourist Train ride that will leave you as the last stop at the public hot springs of Outariz.
The Miño Thermal Promenade is made up of several kilometers of green and pedestrian path that concentrate up to seven thermal spaces, many of them equipped for bathing. “You walk there, you take a bath and you come back. A LUXURY.” Here we always advise people to come with their swimsuit in their backpack. Even if they say they're not going to bathe, it doesn't cost anything to put them in with some flip flops and a towel. Because on rainy and cold days people are also in the hot springs. It's an added pleasure. Seriously, it's not cold.
The most modern building, which we see on the other side of the river, is known as Outariz Spa (private) and is inspired by the traditional bath houses of Japan, the onsen, an important base of Japanese culture. You will immediately see the Rotenburo, a roof building clearly inspired by Japanese bath houses that covers three pools at more than 40 degrees.
But be sure to visit the public hot springs: A Chavasqueria, O Muiño and Outariz. They are totally free.
